Our River Trip
Here are some of the shots from our river trip. It was HOT, but LOTS of fun. We spent a lot of time down at the beach while Asher took his naps. He was able to get in some boat time and some shore time too. The water was a little too cold for him to try and stand or sit in, but he loved watching it as the little waves would roll in from passing water crafts. Asher even saw a friend at the river. My brother's friends, Dave and Carrie brought their little girl, Abby who is just over a year. When we did go on the boat he had to wear his life vest, but surprise, surprise, he didn't mind it at all. One morning of our trip we always go down to have breakfast at the Topock Marina. He watched the boys tube the whole way down, fell asleep as soon as we docked and continued to sleep on the table in the restaurant for a little while. It was an awesome trip. My parents were able to join us for a couple days out there too. It was great fun for all!!
Now, for piles and piles of laundry. I don't mind it 'cause that means I HAVE to stay home ALL DAY!!! Next post might be later this week, but if not then I won't post again for a couple of weeks, we are heading up to Mammoth Lakes a week from today for 6 days. I know it was a God thing that I didn't realize until just last week that I would only have a weeks time between trips. I am totally okay with it though. I checked the weather this morning and it is a high of 75 and a low of 44 all week. We will be taking 3 of the cousins on this trip with us, Nick the oldest is going to see an Aunt in Washington DC. We will definitely miss him, but he will be having lots of fun too!
Asher update: still no teeth, just lots of drool. He used his drool to cool him at the river though...it runs down his chin and then down his chest, so when the fan would blow past him it really cooled him off. Too cute! He now loves peas and green beans and this morning he tried Oatmeal - loved it! I think this week I might try something orange or yellow - carrots, sweet potato or squash. We'll see. He is also really working at rolling over, even in his swaddle. Bosh on all those na-sayers on the swaddle. In the mornings he usually is laying on his side, so it won't be long now.
Off to get ready for the next trip...

Wow, that thing being pulled by the boat looks really fun! So glad to hear how great the trip was...I knew it would be ;)
Love that last pic of the 3 of you. You and David look great! Take it easy this week and enjoy your next trip. Mammoth is beautiful. I've only been in the winter though.
Love you and your adorable son!!!
