2 Months Old

For comparison...here is the one month old picture...

Well he seems to be 'into' milestones...the night he was 6 weeks old he slept through the night for the first time. Needless to say, I didn't! It was probably my worst night of sleep since he came home. I worried and woke up several times.

Last night he slept from 8:15pm until I woke him at 7am this morning. Granted he didn't sleep longer than 30 minutes at a time yesterday during the day, but I will take the night sleeping anyway I can get it.

I am surprised he is not more tired during the day, since he seems to be very busy at night while he sleeps. These pictures are to show you the length of the crib. When I put him down at night, I put him all the way up to the top by the jungle music player. When he gets up in the morning he is all the way down at the other end by the car mobile. Busy, busy, busy, just like his dad!

Cold Outings

The first 3 pictures were at TBone's game on Tuesday which was @ 4:30pm so not as cold as the night games, but still pretty chilly. This hat goes with a blanket that you put on like a shirt and has a sack at the bottom. It is pretty toasty but not as warm as our Eskimo suit. We just love that suit it keeps him so warm and last night after Asher fell asleep, I didn't want to put him down because he was keeping me warm. The game was great. The Grandparents even braved the below zero weather (not really, just felt like it). TBone and his team are very good and fun to watch. We look forward to many more games and the coming sunshine.

Catching Up...

So it has been a while since I have posted on a regular basis so I have a bunch of pictures to show you all. Asher has been doing great. We have so far avoided the flu that seems to of hit our valley in full force the past couple of weeks, PTL! He is 7 weeks old already and is getting so big. He smiles all the time now, it is wonderful. He is ooooing and awing and even does a little laugh.

The cousins have been pretty healthy too, so I am back to picking up Lauren from school on Wednesdays and loving it. She seems to really like it too. The picture of her feeding Asher was a couple of weeks ago. They both loved it!

TBone started baseball again and his first official game was this past Saturday night! Uncle David was very excited for him to be able to play under the lights. It was an awesome game. TBone had fabulous hits every at bat - he is sure to be in the big leagues some day! Well, a night game posed a little challenging with a new born, so off to the baby stores I went Saturday morning to find something to bundle our bundle of joy. I had almost given up after searching Baby's R Us 2 or 3 times for a big blanket suit complete with hood, when I turned around and saw IT...the picture doesn't really do it justice, so I will take more at the Friday night game this week. Oh, he looked so very cute. It reminded me of the scene in the movie A Christmas Story where Randy is dressed for school and starts to cry because "I CAN'T PUT MY ARMS DOWN!"

Any way, enjoy and I will post more soon!

Our First Trip to Bucca de Beppo

Before Christmas David and I went to Bucca, one of our favorite places to eat. The one we go to is out in Encinitas/Carlsbad. Well, we sadly found out that they were bought out by a large corporation, the same one who owns Planet Hollywood. We were sad because the menu changed and so did the food and not for the better. Anyway, they knew people weren't happy and when the manager came to check on us, we explained to her that we drive all the way from Temecula because we like the food so much, but now it isn't really worth it. She said things were definitely different, asked us to make sure to do the survey online from our receipt and gave us a $25. gift card to come back in Jan., Feb., or March. So since they are usually very slow during the lunch hour, we thought we'd take a little trip out with Asher to give it another try especially since it would be FREE!! It was a fun time, but the food still isn't that great. They tried to make my favorite 'Chicken Glorioso' but it just wasn't the same :-(. After David did the survey online, we received another $25 gift card in the mail, so we will probably go one more time, but only because it will be free, with the exception of the gas to get out there. Otherwise, Vincenzo's, Bellas and Anthony's has the best Italian food and is much closer. Thanks for the race car socks, Auntie Rose - We love them!!
