A FABULOUS 5 DAY WEEKEND!So David's schedule changes tomorrow, so he had 5 days off in row which happened to fall all around my birthday. What a great weekend it was for us. Asher loves his daddy so much. When David is home and I go into Asher's room in the morning to get him out of his crib, Asher always looks around me to see if his daddy is coming. When David comes into the room, it is as if I have disappeared. It is so sweet. Can hurt a momma's pride a little, but I love to see the love Asher has for David. Lucky for me, I will always be his momma, so even now when he gets hurt or frustrated, he runs to me.
Friday and most of Saturday we just hung around the house, did a few chores, but mostly just hung out and played. Saturday night David and I went to a wedding - a great date night. It was Grams' son Allan's wedding. It was on MCRD on the bay. The sunset was incredible and the wedding was beautiful. We had a great time. Asher stayed at Granny and Papa's and had a blast too.
The Groom looking at his bride coming down the aisle...one of our favorite things at weddings is to watch this very moment. A sweet reminder of Jesus looking at His bride the church.

The Happy Couple

David had the DJ play our song. It was hard dancing with my prego belly, but well worth all the effort!

No Comment!!...except maybe to say, Grams looked fabulously beautiful!

Grams and her other DIL, Tess who we just love, she is a blast and fits with the family so well. They were having spoon on the nose contests. Too funny!

I was given tickets to see Mary Poppins at the Ahmanson Theater in LA, so David arranged a babysitter for the day on Sunday. We went to a matinee show and then had dinner at one of our most favorite restaurants, Patty's Place in Seal Beach. Patty is a wonderful lady and an outrageous cook. She makes many of the items from scratch and all her desserts are made fresh every morning. We hadn't been there in quite some time, but it was so nice to see her and visit. She and her husband will be married for 42 years this year and have owned 7 restaurants. The food was great and the dessert of course was phenomenal! We always have her key-lime pie, but since it was my birthday, they brought out a slice of her chocolate cake - to die for. We only had a couple bites, so I was able to bring the rest home.

Monday was a girls day. My mom and I haven't had a girls day in over a year, so it was very much needed and special. She took me to PF Changs and then we saw Leap Year. A very nice treat! Thanks Mom!
Today was another hang out day. Got lots done around the house, hung out and played. Sad to say it is coming to an end...Asher and I will have a hard reality tomorrow, but the weather is suppose to be okay at least until Friday, so we will have to get out some to pass the time. A great 5 day weekend and a wonderful birthday. I am very blessed and so very thankful for all the special people in my life who made this weekend so great!
REALITY...chaos to ensue in about a month, remember this special time!!
