TWO MONTHS OLD
Today Isaac is 2 months old. He is getting so big. I hate to see him in other people's arms or laps, he always looks especially big. I know from Asher how fast the time goes by and how quickly they grow, so I am bummed when I see Isaac growing so fast and getting bigger and bigger. He is just so sweet. We have these little conversations with him cooing and me cooing back and then he laughs. I just love it! Here are his 2 month pictures with the last one of Asher for you to compare. I love that they look so different from one another. You can tell Isaac isn't so 'tiny' anymore. The pictures show how he is bigger than Asher was at 2 months. We go for our 2 month check up on Tuesday, so I will post the stats then.

SILLY BOY
So Sundays are a different schedule day for us. Asher doesn't have a morning nap those days, he usually power naps in the car for about 20 minutes on the way to lunch. This past Sunday, we went and had lunch as usual, but Asher didn't nap on the way there, so he just couldn't hold off anymore and when we went to get him out, this is what we found. Such a cutie pie!

Don't anyone tell Uncle Larry this is the same bowl he ate salad out of last Sunday, he, he! He did rave about the salad, must have been the extra love Asher put in for him. Come on, Yes, I do wash it before every use!

Tea Time with my Savior
So this morning I was blessed to go to a women's tea for church. Upon suggestion from my wonderful husband, I found a sitter for Asher and took Isaac with me. It was a definite struggle getting there, but grace and mercy poured out and I made it. Boy, was it exactly what I needed. The messages on Sunday have been just for me lately, but boy did I need this message too. Sundays have helped me to not focus so much on my current sleep deprived season, but more on rejoicing in the Lord for what I do have and for the season He has me in right now. BUT, today it was all about how much my Savior loves me...Thank You, Lord.
I have learned about the Samaritan Woman several times, but this time the season I am in brought new life to these verses. Jesus went there for her! In the King James version, it says, "He must...". The Lord's love for the SINNER, Samaritan woman was so great, He had to go, so that she might know Him and spend eternal life with Him. It was the description of the Samaritan woman that got me, she was a woman, greatly inferior to men in those days, she was a Samaritan and Jews didn't speak to Samaritans and her reputation was so despicable, no man, especially a teacher would ever speak to her. Janet went through a list of descriptions and at the end I added, a sleep deprived crazy mom. Little did I know that Janet would go on to teach about the great love that Jesus had for this lady, for me AND FOR YOU that He would go out of His way to ensure her salvation. Jesus was weary the scripture says, but His weariness didn't stop Him from doing the Lord's work.
I pray on those crazy days or the sleep deprived days, I would remember that nothing should stop me from doing the Lord's business - whether it be changing yucky diapers, holding a baby until all the muscles in my back are in tight spasm, calling a friend to check in even when I think, hey they should be calling me, or meeting someone at the park when I know it will be hard and tiring.
Don't get me wrong, things have definitely been better, those first 4 weeks I thought I might die even though I didn't with Asher, duh! I love my life and am so thankful to be a wife and mom, but I am most thankful for the Love my Savior has for me and that I will spend eternity in heaven. How about you, will you meet me there someday...

PHOTO SHOOT
So, Isaac was in a very good mood today after lunch and I was able to catch some of his precious smiles. He looks a lot like 2 of David's nephews in some of these pictures - living up to his name...I'm a Perea. I can't believe how photogenic he is already at only 6 weeks. I could just eat him up, yum!

SO TIRED......
So here are some pictures we took last night after Isaac's shower. He was a little tuckered out. I had just finished putting lotion on his face and turned him over to see if he had a bubble and shortly thereafter, he was out like a light. So cute. I have similar pictures of Asher, but we were downstairs and Asher was just laying on my lap.

He looks so long in these pictures.

6 WEEKS OLD
With Asher we took a picture at my 6 week check up with Dr. Hayton, so for tradition (and Grams!!) I made sure to take Isaac's picture with Dr. Lebo. Isaac wore the same outfit that Asher wore when he was 6 weeks old. The only difference is that the outfit doesn't quite fit Isaac, it's too big. I'll say it again, Isaac weighs more and is longer that Asher was at this age, but is smaller than Asher, go figure. I am anxious for Isaac's 2 month check up to see where he is at with size.

This is just a random picture of Isaac sleeping in his crib (pack n play bassanet)

SATURDAY AND SUNDAY
What a busy weekend. Friday was Bates, Saturday David had to clean the motorhome and take it to my parents to use while their house is being tented for termites-last thing to do before they close escrow and move up here, yippee and that night was David's nephew Mitchell's 1st Holy Communion and then Sunday we went to see friends and their new house in Santa Clarita. I guess we wanted to get in as much as possible before David goes back to work. The 1st communion ceremony was great and we went to dinner afterward with the family and Mitchell's best friend and his family. We ate at this Italian place in Vista called Ciao. The food was fabulous and it was great to visit with the family.
Mitchell and his dad Craig Mitchell and his friend Dante Sunday we went our friends house in Santa Clarita for the day. Chris and Heather's son Caiden is about 6 months older than Asher and the boys play so well together. We enjoy hanging out with Chris and Heather and their new house is great. Their house is in a new neighborhood which is very nice and family friendly. It didn't take too long to get there, the weather was beautiful and the fellowship was great. Here are a few pictures from the day and a video of the boys being just silly, we were laughing so hard too. We went to their park right in the community and when we returned home the boys were pretty hot, so we let them play in just t-shirts and diapers. They were being very silly and decided it would be fun to bounce their heads on the loveseat rocker.
