Starrs in CA - YEAH!
So the Starr Jr.s arrived in CA late Wednesday night or should I say early Thursday AM, but nothing kept us from getting together. We went over to the condo where they are staying Thursday late afternoon for a visit and then headed off to dinner at In and Out. Denver doesn't have In and Out, so we knew this would be a treat. I didn't have a chance to take many pictures at dinner - In and Out is one meal I seem to be able to eat, enjoy and keep down these days, so I was very into eating. But here a few pics we took that day. It was such a blessing to just sit around and chat and laugh together. We soooooo have missed the Starr Jr. family. I think it is funny to see Asher's face in some of the pictures - he is so concentrating on the kids and the big kid too with the monkey.

I don't know who is cuter here...

Levi could take or leave the cheeseburger...he left it, but he sure loved the tomato from his momma's burger!

Owen has gotten so big and is more handsome than ever...we loved his new hair cut with the wave action in the front.

Hey Rose, I think that one is worth more than 5 cents...don't you?

RANDOM PICS

So, yesterday I went in to check on Asher during his AM nap and this is what I found. Frpm time to time he has pushed his leg through the side of the crib and been stuck, but apparently it didn't bother him too much because he went back to sleep.

Sunday, we were waiting out in front of our friends house where we were going to have lunch and David had to take Asher out of his seat to do a diaper check - he had been making his noises. Since he was clean we had some time to kill so David got back in the front seat with Asher. Asher looks like a natural - would ya say?

We also tried Cheerios this weekend. He can't get them in and just kind of stares at them - so he isn't ready just yet, but the pictures turned out cute.

BEACH TRIP

Well, we had a fabulous time at the beach. What a great camp ground. Very family oriented - kids everywhere. We were only 2 sites from the walkway down to the beach and had a beach view from our front windows, and one window in the bedroom - it was awesome to wake up to not only the sound of the waves crashing but to see it out the window too! Asher and I took a walk around on Monday and Tuesday and David was off on Wednesday and Thursday, so we all went walking together. David's Dad and nephew came down for a visit on Tuesday. It was great to see Kyle, he lives up north, so we don't see him that often. I had to get a picture to see the Perea resemblance. Wednesday we headed out early for breakfast at a long time favorite - The Potato Shack - mmm, yummy. I haven't been able to eat much lately, but boy was that 'manhole' size granola pancake was delish. Later we went walking around the little town across the railroad tracks. Thursday was a beautiful day and we went for a walk down the beach and had lunch at a little mexican restaurant - mexican food seems to be the only thing that goes down well and stays down. Then on our way back to camp we took Asher for dip in the ocean. He liked it - laughed and giggled when the sand would slip out from under his feet when the waves went out. You will have to excuse my shorts - my regular shorts are just too tight around the baby belly and all my maternity clothes from being pregnant with Asher are 2 sizes to big now. After I gave birth to Asher, I dropped another 2 sizes and 20lbs, so nothing fits. Anyway, we all had a blast and look forward to next year when I think I will have to let him eat sand.

7 Months Old

Seriously, we thought time flew by before being parents, now, yikes, it is on constant wharp speed. Anyway, yesterday was Asher's 7 month birthday. He even had a monumental yesterday, from all fours (hands and knees) he sat up and did several times and again today. Such a big boy these days. I included one picture from our beach trip. He is on the floor in the kitchen/dining area of the motorhome and is just so excited about how good he is getting up on all fours. Please no comments on how small his clothes are on him...we just can't seem to keep up. Crawling is just around the corner, I know - Don't remind me.

Sleeper

So, since Asher has been able to roll over for a few months now, David and I find him in his crib in different positions - even when he is completely swaddled. He typically would immediately escape from his swaddle over the past couple of weeks and on occasion would want to be re-swaddled. All this to say, Monday, his diaper leaked on his swaddle, so I had to wash it before nap time. Well, come to find out both swaddles were in the wash...SOOOO we attempted to sleep WITHOUT it. He had done okay during the day. The day time naps have been somewhat challanging, BUT he sleeps great at night. Here are a couple of pictures that we took last week and this week. We have to go in and close his window before we go to bed, so we get to peak at him sleeping. There is nothing better than a baby/child sleeping. Asher's sleeping is extra special to me because he sleeps in the exact same postion as I do, even on the same side and has his top leg over a little bit. Too funny!
